My left leg was struck by a forklift at work causing my ankle to ringlet under the tire, breaking both ankle basic and causing damage to my heel and human foot. They put in 10 screws and a plate. 2 weeks mail-operation, I have lots of nerve hurting at night. Taking gabapentin to help.

Per dr., at iv weeks I can walk for equally long as it feels ok. I walked ane 1/2 mile slowly in the boot and now it hurts to the point of distraction; today is just 5 weeks. I take no swelling and it feels good.

I broke my ankle slipping on ice. Felt the cleft and sure enough I broke my fibula and right ankle os. I've been sleeping in a recliner keeping it elevated doing leg bending as much as possible; wearisome sequent getting back in the recliner and elevating it, making sure the swelling stays down and blood circulates. When standing my foot still goes purple though it is later on 2 weeks. Wonder if everyone else has had this problem. Pain is notwithstanding there, not as potent though. Wondering if it is condom to fly, I have concerns well-nigh developing deep vein thrombosis.

I had a crush injury later a equus caballus barbarous on me breaking my tibia, fibula and talus in the talocrural joint in several places along with ruptured ligaments, etc. I had an open reduction, then two plates and xiii screws. I screw is now removed and I am meant to be fully weight bearing, however, the pain is totally unbearable. The physiotherapy waiting list is longer than both my arms and I am now experiencing bad swelling and a lot of clicking within the joint. If everyone has any experience, please permit me know this will get improve! Injury was 4 months ago.

I was playing football game with my kids and my daughter's boyfriend fell on my ankle. I have an ankle fracture. I was put in an air kicking for 5 weeks not-weight begetting. I went dorsum to the doc and he said I could behave weight and put me in a splint which actually injure, so I'g wearing a caryatid. I cannot walk. I withal have pain on both sides of my ankle and my ankle is strong. He said to come back if I had pain at 2 weeks. The whole process has seemed weird, as I wasn't even told where the suspension was until the kick was taken off and I asked.

I'm 6 weeks in after a cleaved ankle, and going by eggs, vitamins and beef. I had a trimalleolar fracture and it looks skillful. I have piddling pain and skilful movement. It was acquired by a pothole grass. For 56 years no injury and this is a business. I have a leg scooter. It is looking practiced so far even with screws and bolts.

It'southward been nine weeks since my trimalleolar fracture happened. I had a plate and seven screws put in on the outside of my left talocrural joint and three long screws put in on the inside. I've noticed a very large burl still on the outside of my ankle correct where you should run across my ankle bone. My talocrural joint is still very swollen and I have no feeling on my pare on the left half of my left foot. I also cannot physically point my toes. Not because of pain, but considering my ankle and foot won't physically bend that fashion anymore.

I broke and dislocated my ankle. The commencement surgery was to put an external fixator on while the swelling was reducing. The second surgery was to remove the fixator and too add plates and screws. The second surgery was outpatient. The hurting I accept experienced so far has been heed-bending. I was non prepared for that. I am told that the best hurting level I tin take is a 5. I take 2 weeks before the incisions are released and then hopefully a boot. I don't envy anyone who is undergoing this process.

I dislocated and broke my talocrural joint in 2 places. I had surgery on both sides of the talocrural joint to put it back together with steel. I had a cast for two weeks, and so a moon kick and started physiotherapy when I went into the moon boot. Six weeks post-surgery I am partially weight bearing on elbow crutches. Later the side by side x-rays I wait to fully weight bear in the kicking for another ii weeks. The physiotherapist has actually helped with the flexibility of my ankle, and the massage she showed me has helped reduce swelling.

I broke and sprained my talocrural joint falling on black water ice. It was a slow motion crushing tearing fall. I felt everything along the outside of my foot fierce every bit I fell. I accept a stable ankle fracture (Weber B) that doesn't want to heal after almost eight weeks. And I think I have torn ligaments judging from where my hurting is, about which the physician hasn't shown much concern. Information technology's very frustrating as the doc said it was ok to bear weight on the fracture, but if I take a loftier talocrural joint sprain, which I suspect, I should not accept done any weight bearing for at least vi weeks. I am very worried nigh non-union of the fracture and needing surgery for ligament damage.

I broke both tibia and fibula subsequently slipping on wet grass on 9/22/fifteen. I had plate with v screws put on ane side and i huge spiral on the other side. That was nine/30. I was never in a cast, just an air cast. 2 weeks ago my bones were pronounced totally healed and I was able to bear full weight once again, with but a DonJoy brace. I have had i physiotherapy session and am trying to exercise exercises on my own. I have daily swelling but very trivial pain. I effort to elevate my ankle an hr for every iii to iv not elevated, and ice it when I do. The swelling does subside quickly when I water ice. Talocrural joint looks almost normal first matter in the morning. It's depressing but the recovery on this ankle is non going to exist fast. Doctor merely doesn't like to tell you that since he knows you'll find out soon enough!

I broke my fibula just to a higher place the ankle later on a fall on ice. I had a plate and screws to concord the bone together and plaster cast for 7 weeks and had to exist non-load bearing. When the cast was removed I was given a back up boot and was able to put most 50 percent weight on the pes whilst using crutches. It'southward now some other 3 weeks on and I am able to walk carefully without the kick with a bit of a limp every bit the ankle tends to nifty without the boot. The ankle is still quite sore, but is now starting to improve. I saw a physiotherapist yesterday and she has given me some stretching exercises to practise on my ankle. She said the stretching would reduce the swelling and free up the ankle, every bit long as I exercise the stretching on a regular footing.

I bankrupt my ankle and had a trimalleolar fracture for which I had surgery on 9/24 (injury on 9/12). I had screws and a plate or ii placed. I had my 2 calendar week follow-upward appointment today. No ten-ray was done. Stitches and staples came out, I was put in CAM boot and told I can be total weight begetting, ii weeks later on surgery. This sounds crazy to me! So far I am using crutches to assist. I tin can't put weight on it though. Wonder if anyone else was told to weight conduct so presently.

I Broke MY ankle in several places. I had surgery and had a plate and pins put in. I was in bed most of the time. For two months, I used a walker or cycle chair. I though afterwards I got my bandage off it would be all amend. I had gone to therapy, but my walking was not practiced so the md decided I need to have pins and plates removed after 6 months. I am now walking meliorate after 7 months, only I'm still really stiff.

I roughshod and had a trimalleolar fracture of the ankle and ii fractures of the fibula over six months agone. I had a plate and five screws put in. I was not-weight bearing for 12 weeks and then had 2 of the screws removed. I had physical therapy for one calendar month. I am still having trouble walking distances which is frustrating. From what I understand, this is an accident that occurs with Marines and athletes. I promise I'll be back to normal in a few more weeks.

I broke my ankle in ii places about a calendar month agone, and just had the opportunity to become rid of the moon boot yesterday! I required open talocrural joint surgery on one side of the ankle and the other side was a straight fracture non requiring surgery. Both sides hurt! Then I'm wearing sneakers and the foot is very painful, nevertheless, effectually the ankle and above the human foot, and it feels weird if I stand on the injured foot without sneakers. I am taking Mobic to reduce the swelling and am not walking a lot to minimize swelling. I showtime rehab this calendar week on the ankle and promise that I can regain range of motion and reduce the hurting I now feel.
